This is the Macintosh Lightwave5.0 Patch to 'z6'. The following fixes have been made since the last patch:
* Screamernet is now supported and the executable is included in this patch. Screamernet allows for Macintosh network rendering and Cross-Platform Network rendering supporting up to 999 networked cpus.
* It is now possible to select items in the scene panel without the selection jumping up the list to an item you didn't want to edit.
* There is no longer a QD3D vertex-per-poly limit that was causing Layout to crash when booleaned, stenciled or other complex geometry was loaded into the application.
* Plug-ins will now add if the content directory is set to <path>:Newtek.
* Surfaces will now copy correctly when clicking on their sample spheres/cubes.
* The mouse cursor no longer disappears when clicking outside of an open panel.
* Now when you have more than 40 items to choose from (such as light number 120 in the lights panel) it no longer scrolls all the way to the top or the bottom.
We recommend using the newest release of QD3D 1.5.3 with Lightwave5.0 as it will resolve some of the QD3D issues in the applications.
We have also been testing with MacOS 8 and at this time have seen no problems. (Have found that the system is actually more stable...)
Please know this is a beta patch. It is not the final patch as we hope to have another one soon to fix the few remaining problems..
To install the patch do the following...
1. Unstuff the archive.
2. go to your newtek:programs folder and rename your lightwave file to something different (ie, lwold)
3. go to the MacPatch9-12folder that will be created.
